The end of the year is approaching way too quickly (like it does every year!). I’ve loved being a part of your business growth and household management in 2023, and I want to be sure you are in an ideal place to wrap up 2023 with success, and start 2024 with purpose!
Here are my TOP TIPS as you plan 2024
DO YOU NEED TO LOOK BACK?
It’s helpful to look back before you look forward.
- Did you meet your goals? financial, customer base, service offerings, personal growth? (It’s not all about the money!)
- Compare financials to previous year(s) and put $$ to your ups and downs. (We think we know, but the numbers don’t lie.)
- What was your top learning? Biggest win/fail?
- What needs to be carried into 2024? Or left behind?
DO YOU NEED MORE or LESS?
In the coming weeks, what do you need before the year ends?
- MORE? Do you need a final push? It’s not too late to run a final end of year special, sell gift certificates, or entice clients to pre-pay for special packages. Even if no one bites, you’re putting yourself in front of people time and time again.
- OR LESS? Do you need to take time for rest? It’s been a full year. Possibly what’s best for you is to carve out time to take days off, enjoy the holiday season, tackle a project you’ve been putting off, and replenish your self-care before the new year arrives.
WHAT’S NEXT?
Once you’ve reflected on the past wins and challenges, it’s time to plan and dream about 2024. And usually it’s best to do it BEFORE 2024 arrives.
- What do you want to do differently in 2024?
- What worked that you want to carry forward?
- NEW dreams?
- NEW financial goals?
- NEW service offerings?
MAKE THE TIME
There is no right or wrong way to wrap up a season and plan for the new year, the most important part is carving out time to do it. (And it doesn’t have to all happen at once!)
- getaway for a day to an inspiring location
- journal and pray
- enlist resources and support
- set deadlines/accountability
